Game 1 Summary :
Winter returned to the Moors of North Yorkshire as the Liverpool Trojans traveled for a double header against the Menwith Hill Patriots.
Right from the start both teams locked horns in what turned out to be an epic pitching duel between the seasoned veteran, Martin Godsall for the Trojans, and the youngster, Tony Cuddy for the Patriots. Cuddy, having the best of starts, struck out the first 3 batters he faced.
The Trojans broke the dead-lock in the 3rd inning when Robbie Orme drew a bases loaded walk to score the go-ahead run. The Patriots rallied in the bottom of the 3rd when Eric Cortina sacrificed to bring home a run and catcher Tim Cuddy scored two runs on a base hit.
Menwith added another run in the fourth, however, with Martin Godsall in overdrive, the Menwith bats went quiet. The Trojans never say die attitude saw them draw closer in the 5th, when a Patriot error at third, allowed Mike Waisome to drive in a run.
The Trojans tied the game in the top of the 7th, with RBI's from Orme and Godsall. The game moved to extra innings with both starting pitchers weathering storms, thanks to some great defensive play from both teams. Martin Godsall pitched well with 14 K's, while Patriots starter, Cuddy, excelled with 16K's to his credit.
The tenth inning brought confusion, as nobody was quite sure of the pitching regulations governing double headers. The two teams agreed to replace both starting pitchers rather than risk a forfeit due to breach of regulations. With all that over with, the game resumed with Cortina on the mound for the Patriots. He done a great job to hold the Trojans scoreless, setting the table for a grand finale. Mike Waisome was given the difficult task of trying to win the game for the Trojans. However, the Patriots had different ideas. The winning run was driven in by the unlikely Cresfy, who had four previous strikeouts in the game. With two out's and two strike's Cresfy hit a fly ball over the center fielder's head much to the jubilation of the Patriots.

Game 2

Game 2 Summary :
Rain forced the game to be abandoned in the second inning, as the rain quickly made the playing surface treacherous.
The game will be resumed at a later date with the Patriots in a healthy position, leading 3 - 0 with based loaded in the bottom of the second.?
