Game 1 Summary :
Manchester Eagles got off to a lively start taking the Trojans by surprise, as they took an early 4 run lead. Martin Godsall having an uncharacteristic slow start, struggled to contain the hard hitting Eagles. The Trojans showed their fighting spirit however, and replied with three runs in the bottom half of a lively first inning.
Martin Godsall soon regained his composure on the mound and held the Eagles scoreless for the next couple of innings, while the Trojans edged ahead. The game was halted following a brief deluge, however the field held up well and the game resumed following a 20 minute delay.
Rob Denham, pitching for the Eagles, showed signs of fatigue as the Trojans mounted a concerted effort in a big fourth inning, driving home six runs. Chris Kumeta leading the charge with a well hit 2 RBI triple, closely followed by RBI doubles from Paul Smith and Evgeni Zapryanov.
Mike Waisome, playing in only his second game since arriving from the States, hit the only home run of the game with a solo shot in the fifth. Martin Godsall 9 K's

Game 2 Summary :
It was the Trojans turn to get off to a flyer as they hammered home a 7 run advantage by the end of the first. David Gary on the mound for the Trojans, had a steady start holding the Eagles scoreless in the first. A series of rain delays disrupted the flow of the game making it difficult for the pitchers to maintain any rhythm. Dave Gary was replaced on the mound by Andy Martinez as Manchester slowly chipped away at the Trojans lead. Martinez struggled with the wet ball which allowed Manchester in with a chance.
Eagles starter, Fusi-Iubiano, contained the Trojans batters with a series of low scoring innings giving Manchester a fighting chance. The job of closing out for the Trojans however, was given to Martin Godsall who managed to end the game despite a final flurry by the Eagles.
