Game 1 Summary
The Liverpool Trojans played host to the Hull Hammerheads in a double header at Bootle Stadium. This was the first time the two teams had faced each other this season due to an early season postponement.
The Trojans set their stall out early, by taking a four run first inning lead, a lead which they never gave up. Despite a three run second, Liverpool starter, Mike Waisome, never looked troubled. The standard of defense on display from the Trojans was enough to give any pitcher confidence. Chris Gary, improving with every game, made the play of the game, with a sliding catch in left field to halt any further scoring from Hull.
Too many walks were given up by Hull starter, Ben Parker, all of which were being cashed in. Mike Waisome having a big 2nd inning with a 3 run homer to cap off a 9 run inning. Mike Waisome also hit a grand slam in the fourth, taking his total to 8 RBI's for the day. Ian Smith, Chris Kumeta and Ivan Peyshev (making his Trojans debut), all hit base clearing doubles.
Despite a series of pitching changes, the Hammerheads were unable to contain a rampant Trojans line-up, who are well on top of the league standings in the north.

Game 2 Summary :
Rain, Rain, Rain, then some more rain, prevented the second game from starting. The sensible decision was taken to postpone the game and start drinking early.
Paul Smith won the post game puddle sliding competition, with a massive 18 metre slide. This sets a new all comer's stadium record previously set by his brother Ian. Bleazy finished first in the bare belly category by virtue of being the only entrant. And a big up for Mikey, who set the record for most liquid consumed.
