Game 1 Summary :
Newly promoted Halton Jaguars started the game brightly with a flurry of hits, scoring two runs in the top of the first, taking Liverpool by surprise. Liverpool's shaky start was helped in the bottom of the first when a wild pitch from Taggard allowed a run to score from third.

Ben Ridley, pitching for the Trojans, soon found his rhythm and shut the Jaguars down with some impressive pitching. He also helped his own cause with an RBI single in the bottom of the second to tie the game. Both pitchers continued to dominate with a couple of scoreless innings, however, Halton starter, Taggard, began to tire and was replaced on the mound by Chris Hartley.

The Trojans offence stepped up a gear and soon took control of the game, RBI's from Ivan Peychev and Kwang Shik Choi in the bottom of the fifth gave the Trojans the lead. The only two errors by the Trojans came back to back in the top of the sixth allowing a run to score. But this didn't alter the coarse of the game, as the Trojans finished strongly scoring five in the bottom of the sixth. The score didn't reflect a closely fought contest and credit to Halton for making a game of it.

Game 2 Summary :
With Martin Godsall still sunning himself abroad, Mike Waisome took the mound for the second time this season. The big left hander proved quite a challenge for the Halton batters, limiting them to a couple of hits in the early innings.

Mike Waisome drove in the first couple of runs of the game, in what turned out to be a comfortable victory for the Trojans. Liverpool made steady progress in the early innings with RBI's for Harry Wren and Kwang Shik Choi.

Some good work by the Halton outfield kept the scoreline within reach, however Liverpool exploded with a flurry of hits in the bottom of the sixth and ended the game on the slaughter rule. Liverpool now have a commanding lead at the top of the table, but have yet to meet the much improved Manchester Eagles, currently in second place.
